(Review) Hada Labo Hydrating Oil-In Lotion

Hello loves!
How have your June been?
I hope you're more productive than me!
Today's review is a self-purchased item I purchased some time back during their Hada Labo Road Show coz my babe @beautiventures highly recommended it.

My no-buy moment didn't last very long and prior to that I forced myself to do some spring cleaning for my skincare/makeup stash. I had some help from baby sis and we sorted according to their expiring year. Had one tray lined up for those expiring this year 2019! XD This is one of it.

I tried googling its name and I got this > Hada Labo Gokyujun Squalien Oil-In Face Clear Lotion or simply Hada Labo Hydrating Oil-In Lotion. I am assuming it to be somewhat oily somewhere but the first impression is quite enjoyable as there is no oily sensation at all! Instead, it gets absorbed into the skin quickly leaving my skin feeling fresh! More thoughts below!

Brand: Hada Labo
Item: Hydrating Oil-In Lotion
Content: 220ml
Origin: Japan
Cost: RM78 at Lazada; discounted to RM49.80
Rating: 3/5

Squalene maintains moisture in skin.
Helps satisfy oil-water balance of skin.
Experience moisturize skin without sticky sensation.
Comfortable for user and gives user clear complexion.

This is my packaging after the pump has carelessly broken off.
Still usable and I pump right from the top with my cotton pad on hand, however I can no longer just pump onto my hands and layer as many layers as I like XD

[Packaging] The pump design and choker is hygienic & convenient to use and if you happen to travel, you do not need to worry of spillage or anything. Unfortunately I have dropped a few times  and the pump broke off. Still usable but slightly troublesome. XD
[Scent & Texture] Watery texture with no oily sensation at all! It absorbs fast into the skin leaving the skin looking slightly dewy, no tacky sensation and no scent at all!
[Skin Feels] After swiping with cotton pad, I find myself layering it as it provides more moisture to my face. I believe this 220ml will last me quite a while so it is definitely value for its price if it works for you. After a 2 weeks plus usage I do find that my skin is slightly more moisturized especially with the layering technique, also I do not breakout throughout the period of usage! Simply wiping with just cotton pad actually decrease both my moisture and oil level of my skin. Since it kinda dries me out during my lazy routine (just cotton pad alone), I think it will suit oily-combination skin user more!

This is how it looks like when dispense on a cotton pad.

This is a reading taken before-after a swipe of  toner on my hands. As you can see, both my water & oil level has decrease. I am not happy with the decrease of moisture but the decrease in oil level shows a good sign!! I believe layering technique would show a better reading.

No. There are other range in Hada Labo that works much better for my dry-combination skin.

That's all from me. Thanks for dropping by and I hope this post is helpful for you!
