Yeay! Another skin care from Althea brand! It was a December parcel and I have been using it since. Not too sure what to expect from a serum cleanser but I was extra excited for it coz it sounds like a very dry skin friendly product.

Star Ingredients:
Mint Leaf Extract - Cools down the skin & soothes irritations
Jojoba Seed Oil - Deeply moisturizes any dryness without feeling heavy
Tea Tree Leaf Extract - Has antibacterial properties that purify the skin
Function:
Whisks away makeup, dirt, and oil with Mint Extracts while ensuring the skin stays cool and hydrated with its unique dual moisture cell system that envelopes the skin in a serum-like formula.
It prevents skin from drying out and effectively minimizes enlarged pores, keeping it smooth to touch.

Gentle on face and suitable even for those with sensitive skin.
Thoughts:
My go-to for fist cleanser and I must say I don't use my second cleanser much these days ^^
My go-to for fist cleanser and I must say I don't use my second cleanser much these days ^^
Packaging:
I love the simple packaging and the color is calming.
I also know the amount left and when to restock! ^^
Texture & Scent:
Texture is a runny clear solution with a pleasant fragrance of perfume-y tea tree scent. I am glad the fragrance is not overpowering yet its soothing to end my day. It is not the super oily kind of first cleanser which is amazing!
How I Use & Effectiveness:
Its a first cleanser and I pretty much use it alone without second cleansers on most days. I just wet my face, apply a few drops onto my palm and then go into my face in circular motion. I love that my skin is reacting so positively to it. It melts away my makeup and dirt at the end of the day. My face doesn't feel tight & also not oily for my dry skin which is awesome! Definitely sealing the goodness with my moisturizer at the end of the routine.
Con but Solvable:
The only con I find is that it kinda stings when I try to rub it in along my eye line(when removing my eyeliner). This only happens when I have too much water on my face with or without makeup. After rinsing the stinging and slight cloudiness is gone. (My Recommendation) I do recommend to go in with a point remover first for the eye makeup. However if you want to go in with the first cleanser alone without using any point remover, I suggest to apply the Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser on a drier face or with just a few sprinkles of water on face prior to application. The water helps to reduce amount of first cleanser use while also melting your makeup up easily. With a thicker makeup I recommend to apply it on dry face with your fingers or cotton pad, then only rinse off.
Overall:
Overall, I love using it as it does not give the oily sensation and I do not need the emulsifying step which makes my first cleanser step so easy and quick. I will definitely re-purchase as it is cost-friendly and effective for a first cleanser!

The shiny part is where I have dripped my serum cleanser on with a few drops of water too. |
