(Review) (Shoutout) Christmas 2017 with Mamonde #FlowersForMe Collection

Have you shopped for yourself yet for this Christmas season?
Less than a month left!!!

Last year I asked hubby to gift me a teapot with a warmer set and am still using it now.

Christmas for me means a month of joy, re-birth, union and anything about the line of positive vibes.

Many always purchase pressies for their loved ones and at many times, I bet you forget to get stuff for yourself. Or only at the very last minute.

Mamonde's Christmas Collection 2017 theme is Flowers For Me.
It signifies the blossoming month for rewarding you before others!
So thoughtful of Mamonde.

I wanna confess how much I love the packaging as I feel happy looking at it. The illustration of birds and flowers blooming brings about the period when the winter time is over; where new life begins and flourish.

Let's jump right in.

Mamonde Christmas Collection 2017:

For fellow skincare junkies, the First Energy Duo Set.
It consists of 2 full-sized items and 4 free gifts.

Mamonde Flowers For Me First Energy Duo Set   |   RM219
(Worth RM319)
This set features Mamonde's best-sellers, the First Energy line (serum and essence) & hydrating Floral Hydro Line.

The First Energy line helps you to achieve firmer skin with smooth radiance inside out.

Mamonde First Energy Essence (150ml)
Super water-y and absorbs well into my skin.

Mamonde First Energy Serum (100ml)
No sticky sensation and feels like the super light moisturiser.

Mamonde Floral Hydro Ampoule Toner (15ml)
Water gel like texture and minimal scent.

Mamonde Floral Hydro Emulsion (25ml)
Oilier but moisturize the skin sufficiently.

Mamonde Floral Hydro Eye Gel Cream (5ml)
Similar texture to its toner and takes awhile for it to be absorbed totally leaving minimal tackiness.

Mamonde Floral Hydro Cream (15ml)
Strongest scent but still in the mild range. Floral fruity scent that is refreshing and seals in the goodness. I only use it on my drier days and days prior to important events. XD

This is my current skincare and am loving it ^^
Go try for yourself or if you are trying it tell me which you love!! ^^

Not forgetting makeup junkies ^^
Mamonde Flowers For Me Make Up Set consists of 3 full sized products.

Mamonde Flowers For Me Make Up Set   |   RM209

Brightening Cover Powder Cushion (No. 21N, Medium Beige)
*or choose No. 23N, Natural Beige

It also conveniently comes with a refill! (Steal!!)
It claims to completely cover up skin imperfections and large pores thus creating a bright, fresh, and  soft look that lasts long.
It does work well when covering my redness and evening out my skin tone and all however I do still need some concealer to cover my dark eye circles. I think the coverage is buildable too. It settles to a semi-dewy finish which I like ^^.

Creamy Tint Color Balm Intense (2.5g * 2)
Soft crayon-like lip pencil that instantly appears vivid on the lips and feels as smooth as velvet.
It is also a 3-in-1 lippie > the lipstick, lip balm and lip tint.
A little goes a long way and does not dry out the lips over time.
After a meal, most product at the centre of lips are gone but re-application is a breeze (with no patchiness for me! *thumbs up).
I tried wiping my lips with tissue after a meal and most came out, leaving natural tinted lips, tho may be slightly uneven from Up-Close!

No. 5 Blooming Rose - It gives a more feminie girly vibe.
No. 11 Velvet Red - I think I look sexier in this color.

IF you are the hand cream person, here you go!
Holiday Hand Cream Set   |   RM69
You get four 30ml perfumed hand creams in Rose Bouquet, Gardenia Dream, Camellia Petal and Jasmine Cahmere.

(Food Review) (Shoutout) The KL Journal Hotel Dinner Review

Hello guys, how many of you love staying in hotels?
How many of you actually love eating in hotels?

I personally love staying in hotels coz most of the time, they have the best lighting for photoshoots. And, their meals are not too shabby.
In short, I love hotels' fluffy pillow and white blankets.

Last week I got the chance to tour around The KL Hotel Journal.
Thanks for the invitation.

Place may be slightly hard to find but I would recommend you to visit the place as you get to be more acquainted to the Malaysian life! ^^.
(Yeay coz I get to experience the variety of food and shopping heaven)

This is the first thing I see when entering the hotel.

Accomodation details:

Each floor will have interesting Malaysia objects

Do you see the fruit at the Green light? ^^
There are also stamps (who's a collector?), road signs etc.

Interior and decor looks surreal as each painting in each room tells story of different parts of KL.

#3: Clock can be extended to speaker which is cool.
#4: Little journals hand drawn and tailored by staff of KL Hotel Journal. That 555 note book, totally relatable for a Malaysian like me XD
#2: Cool and more convenient and hidden safety deposit box
#1: Saving this for the last coz I LOVE the shower head the most!!!

Dinner Review:

I love the idea of a rooftop dinner with a view of the pool and KL sightings.

Their recommended set is #1.

1. Curry Fish Head Set

This set is for 4-6 pax @ RM50 only!

The rice, papadem, & acah are refillable.
The curry fish head was acceptable for me.
As a spicy eater, I personally don't find it spicy but of course my non-spicy eater friends would find it somewhat spicy for them.
The bad: Those who eat out everyday would prefer it to be more flavorful. I personally find the curry fish head just ok coz I was more irritated when I kept biting on fish scales. I know bones in fish are unavoidable BUT I must say the lighting was too dark coz we sat at the far end of the pool.
Suggestion: Maybe the chef can consider making the fish head curry sauce to be more concentrated coz some actually like it of a more concentrated based.
The good: I was surprised that the ingredients to make the curry fish head sauce was actually condiments found in the Western part such as Cardimum etc. Bravo for that!
Overall: Looking for improvement in this dish coz I have had quite some curry fish head from different places thus my expectation for this dish would be higher.

2. Grilled salmon

It is yummy only if there is more flavor to it. I think it is a bit too less for a salmon lover like me.

3. Fried tapioca

It is more sweet and abit dark for my usual liking but my friends love it a lot. When eating this, I was actually comparing it to the fried tapiocas at Taiwan Shilin Street. I actually prefer the Taiwan Shilin Street fried tapioca as it is made more salty and I personally am more of a savory person that's why.

To end the post, lets have a selfie with the KL view ^^
