June: An Impromptu Hong Kong Trip EATS

Hello lovelies, it has been awhile.

I wanted to blog about it earlier but I have been busy with my pre-wedding photoshoot right after returning from Hong Kong and etc.

First off, I would like to recommend places to eat in Hong Kong!

Supreme Manya Japanese Restaurant
About: All-you-can-eat, Japanese
Address: 7/F, King Wah Centre, 628 Nathan Road, Mong Kok
Tel: 3622 2688 / 3622 2323

It was an air-condtioned, semi-spacious area & the service was great! Our plates were almost always changed when it gets dirty and new ones were served. Since we were timed, our written orders came really fast! Only 1 or 2 orders never made it to our table...which was a bit of a turn off. But my mood was better coz this time they gave their customers free Moven Pick/Haagen Daz ice cream. In case if you are already full, fret not! You can take away the ice creams! (1 per person!). Luckily we brought our own plastic bags!
It was HKD $238 per person (excluding service charges).
It was on the pricier side.
I think I wouldn't want to re-visit the place unless there is any occasion coz I really do not like to go to places that times us (especially when I am a slow-eater!).
We tried the strawberry Moven Pick ice cream before we left, it was surprisingly nice! Its like froyo that aren't too sweet! Love it!

A quick walkthrough ! ^^

Let's order!!!! So much to flip through! 2 booklet only la!

Tear out pieces of whatever you order and they will come in a plate/bowl etc! Simply pretty stacks! <3

Close up (front R-L; back R-L): scallop, tamago, abalone pieces, sweet shrimp, sashimi and big head shrimp!

Grilled pineapple was nice. Warm and juicy! Surprising for me coz I am not a pineapple kinda person. Others they ate which according to them were nice.
Fried stuff not that nice la (just normal) I think, but the fried lotus was exceptional! Love it!

I didnt try the scallop soup but they say it was nice and sweet. I tried the scallop though, not as bad as I'd imagined. ;)

The baby sweet potato was so cute and sweet. A bit like concentrated red bean paste to me. I even gobble up the skin coz they say it was healthy :)

There were various drinks available. Beers, juice, milk-ish ;)) Love the steak!!!but by the time I am done with pics, it was kinda cold.

The one at the bottom was super yum for me. I think I had 3 or 4 plates of it all to myself (since I did not have much prawns like the others did).

Selfie with unagi was obligatory as my baby sis visited this place the previous time and it was not served...so it was intentionally for her, lol. :)
Chicken was YUM!!!
Prawn, none of my business.. .

Tea Wood
About: Taiwanese Cafe
Address: 10/F, King Wah Centre, 628 Nathan Road, Mong Kok
(Not sure if the address is the one I went into Langham Place)
Tel (according to this site): 852-2780 2321

The place seems pretty and it was quite a good instagrammable place especially the desserts. Unfortunately I did not manage to order the desserts coz I had one portion of food all to myself and I was quite full then. The rice I ordered had a strange scent in the sauce. Egg was nice and others are just alright. The fruit drink was pretty sweet. Sis had to dilute it with water. Sis + mom shared a beef noodle - soup was surprisingly spicy and I think it helps to open up one's appetite! :)
Price-wise is on the average side coz the portion itself was quite big. Many tables we saw were actually sharing (especially the noodles dish) !
There was time limit too! Would want to re-visit the place for their instagrammable desserts!

Super sweet fruit tea !

IKEA
About: Swedish food / Restaurant
Address: (They have only 3 branches in Hong Kong. Shatin, Causeway Bay & Kowloon Bay) The one I went was in Kowloon Bay.
Tel: -

The setting of the canteen was similar to the one in Malaysia. Packed. Service was great as there weren't any staff that has black face or being rude. I love some of the food! Not sure if Ikea in Malaysia serves the food we had. I think it was on the affordable side! The place is somewhat far to reach though, but if I had the chance to visit again, I would!

Seorae Galmegi
About: Korean, Barbeque
Address: (They have quite some branches) the one I went should be in 12/F, Optimall, No. 118 Chuen Long Street, Tsuen Wan
Or
 G/F & 1/F, Passkon Court, 79-81 Kimberly Road
Tel: +852 2723 6692

I really, really love the super spacious and setting of this place! Everything was wonderful except the toilet floors may be slightly slippery. Service was great! The only downside I read was the queue. Luckily we only waited around 10mins as we were there quite late. And we were limited in changing our grill pan coz they were preparing to close and also save it for the tables after us. Beef was SUPER YUM! I read that the eggs were great but it was just alright for me coz we have overcooked them. If you are a kimchi fan, order it as many times as you want! We ask them to add for us like 4-5 times as it is unlimited for the side dishes (kimchi, garlic slices and sauces)! Yeay!
It is slightly on the pricey side but I think it is all worthy!
The only turn-off for me was leaving the place with my hair smelling like BBQ!
Will definitely visit this place again coz I am already drooling when typing it down!

About: Dessert, Drinks, Hong Kong delicacy
Address (in Chinese): Xi Yang Cai Street, Wang Jiao, Hong Kong
(translates to: West Watercress Street, Mong Kok, Hong Kong)
Tel: +852 2393 3301

This is a must visit place if you are ever visiting Hong Kong!
Although I must say the place seems to be slightly run down (but clean) & the seating may be squishy & also the not-so-friendly staff with black face, the food we ordered was super YUM! Especially the Double-boiled milk pudding of original and custard flavour! Price-wise it was affordable!!
Each person sitting in must order one or not they will charge you for the sitting in!
Will definitely come back for it if I ever visit Hong Kong again!!! <3 <3 <3
P.S: A plus point if you are enjoying dairy products!
P.P.S (according to others' review): Also enjoyable for non-diary people (eg..mango milk, etc!)

Brunch at Ho Choi Seafood Restaurant
About: Chinese, Seafood, Asian
Address: City Plaza, 760 Nathan Road, Mong Kok, Hong Kong
Tel: +852 2398 2060

Its a common phenomena for elderly Hongkies, I supposed.
According to my sis, her MIL only knows to Yum Cha (tea time) in places like this.
This place is said to be one of thee best Dim Sum place in town!
Place is quite packed. Need to order fast!
Portion is quite big. So do not order too much!
Staff may not be that patient!
Taste-wise I honestly think that it is DIFFERENT from the ones I had in Malaysia dim sum place therefore the rating may be slightly lower.
